a while back ago i attempted to learn C++. i eventually stopped after learning only the basics and never got into graphics or any advanced part of programming. i've decided to get off my lazy rear end and perhaps finish learning but it seems (at least to me) that learning a programming language may not be as important as i once thought. so, without rambling so much more, let me list a few things i have learned (or think i learned): custom engine isn't as important as learning how to mod an existing engine, graphics programming is suited for someone else more intelligent than i am, and scripting languages such as python or lua tends to be the route to go. correct me if i am wrong and please list the bad and the good or just troll me out of existance for my ignorance :D
